In my free time, you’ll probably find me with a book in my hand. Currently I am exploring various memoirs written by doctors, my favorite one so far being “War Doctor,” by David Nott. I spend a lot of my day at school, not just in the classrooms but organizing fundraisers, practicing volleyball, and tutoring younger students. While I dislike planes, I love to travel. After becoming a certified scuba diver in March of 2023, a lot of our vacations are taken in places with beautiful oceans. The ability to explore the oceans has added an additional layer to my love for travel and conservation, making me a proud climate activist in my school community.

Ever since I was young I have always loved to help others. Helping my younger sister with her math homework, and my younger brother build his legos. However, my love for helping has transcended the boundary of family and I have begun volunteering in my community in various capacities. In the future, I hope to become a doctor, and work in the UN, providing and developing healthcare systems in developing countries. Growing up in Pakistan I have been surrounded by the consequences that come along with underdeveloped and underfunded healthcare. This has fueled my desire to make a difference in such areas, as the access to quality healthcare is a human right.
